From Small Beginnings to Big Impact
Founded by head baker Dan Booth in 2019, we opened our doors in September 2020 in a small premises in Clark's Yard, Darlington's town centre. What started with a couple of tiny ovens and Dan doing all the baking quickly grew beyond our wildest expectations.
Opened with immediate success - selling out every day from the start
Proved commercial viability and began recruiting additional staff
Completely outgrown original space, began searching for expansion
Secured premises next door for expansion
Successfully fundraised through National Lottery grant, crowdfunding, and social investment
Fully operational in our expanded home at 5 & 9 Clark's Yard.
